Aloha to our mainland & overseas visitors and to our kamaaina friends.  Online registration is now closed for the 2008 AIA Northwest & Pacific Regional Conference to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of Oahu from October 7th through 10th, 2008.  You can still register onsite at the start of  the conference, and you'll still be able to enjoy the entire conference.  Hawaii 2008: Crossroads of Design & Diversity will be an "unconventional convention" that you don't want to miss.

Brought to you by AIA Honolulu, we'll take advantage of the sights, sounds and beauty of the Pacific Islands to show off our rich island heritage and diversity of people, architecture and design.   Many of our programs are tours, encouraging participants to personally experience Hawaii’s landscape, cultural and built environment.  And for the local members and non-members of AIA in Hawaii, there will be ample opportunies for new learning and networking with new friends in our diverse region.  Our turn may not come around again for another ten years, so be sure to plan to attend Hawaii 2008.

E Komo Mai to Honolulu: October 7-10, 2008

This is a traditional Hawaiian greeting welcoming you to Hawaii.  E Komo Mai.  Nou Ka Hale.  "Come inside, our house is yours."  Our AIA Honolulu conference committee is planning a stimulating and fun mixture of fellowship, education and exploration to highlight the 2008 AIA Northwest & Pacific Regional Conference.  Our programs address issues of global practice, design in the context of cultural diversity, sustainability, architectural education, and community leadership.  Keynote speakers will bring local, national and international perspectives from the national AIA community, the region’s architecture schools, and from Hawaii.  See PROGRAM for details.  Questions?  Contact AIA Honolulu by clicking on the link to AIA Honolulu Home.
