AIA Honolulu in the News

In case you missed it! View our Walking Tour with Frank Haines, FAIA on KITV

Last Saturday, March 12, KITV's reporter Catherine Cruz and photographer Nathan Serota came to our Center for Architecture to attend one of our Saturday architectural walking tours of historic downtown Honolulu conducted by our legendary tour guide Frank Haines, FAIA.

The segment aired last night on KITV's MVP section on Honolulu's architectural "SAGE." As told by Ms. Cruz, Frank Haines, 94-years-young, is someone who you might have trouble keeping up with.

Mahalo Frank for your many years of distinguished service to our local Chapter.

Your book of illustrations captures, better than I have ever seen elsewhere, the essence of downtown Honolulu. As I guide my Downtown Walking Tours, as I did last Saturday, overseen by TV station KITV, I'm conscious of, and often mention your specific vistas.
