Pacific Building Trade Expo
Honblue presented the Seventh Annual Pacific Building Trade Expo, jointly produced by the Honolulu Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Honolulu) and the Honolulu Chapter, The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) The Expo is the largest trade venue serving Hawai’i’s building design professionals and contractors. The Expo features the latest building products and services from hundreds of suppliers and offers a full schedule of accredited continuing education seminars addressing current issues, innovations and techniques in the building design industry. Admission to the Pacific Building Trade Expo for attendees is FREE and exclusive to the building industry design professionals and contractors.
Last year’s show boasted over 1600 attendees visiting 159 exhibitors in 222 booth spaces. Twenty educational seminars were offered for continuing education credit to AIA members and interested allied professionals along five tracks: HECO Green, Practice, Technical, Design and Intern Development.
2006 Education Sessions Featuring Renown Speakers and AIA CES LUs
New in 2006, the Pacific Building Trade Expo will host a “Distinguished Speakers” seminar series as part of this year’s show. This new series will feature nationally acclaimed building industry speakers who will headline a number of the 20 seminars available free to expo attendees. This year’s series will feature two renowned speakers; James P. Cramer, Hon. AIA, Hon IIDA, CAE, Chairman/CEO of The Greenway Group, a leading strategic consultancy for the design professions and award-winning architect Malcolm Holzman, FAIA. The series is made possible through the generosity of Nordic Construction and The Hawaii Architectural Foundation, co-sponsors of the series. AIA/CES Continuing Education Learning Units (LUs) are available for attendees to these education sessions. AIA Honolulu is the AIA/CES Registered Provider for this event. 2006 Expo Exhibitor Information
Due to popular demand, the show floor has been relocated from the Ballroom to the larger main exhibit hall on the ground floor of the Convention Center. The show now incorporates 288 booths with a majority of them in the larger 10x10 module.
