AIA Honolulu welcomes you too attend our popular monthly General Membership Meetings (GMM), normally to be held at the Center for Architecture, every Third Thursday once a month. Whether it’s the conversation you desire or the continuing education credits, please join us for an hour of fellowship!

Topic:  “Integrated Design Technology & Collaboration”.

Program Overview: Gain the advantage by learning about some of the latest tools in design collaboration that integrate the process between design and construction. View Event Flyer.

  • Existing Conditions and Documentation - 3D Laser Scanning

Guest Speaker:  Jon Burke, DBIA, LEED AP, is Swinerton Builders Hawaii’s Virtual Design and Construction (VD&C) Manager.  Jon has been working in the AEC industry for over a decade with an emphasis on Design-Build, VD&C, Data and Optimization.  Jon was the project lead for multiple NAVFAC Design-Build projects which required the highest level of coordination which lead Jon into leading his division’s VD&C efforts.  Jon Manages a team of VD&C Engineers and supports the technology and coordination tools on all Swinerton projects.

Brings to light the latest tools in Design Coordination using Collaborator for Revit, BIM 360 Docs and other tools.  Jon will cover some available collaboration tools for Design, Pre-construction/Estimating & construction such as the BIM 360 suite of tools, Collaborator for Revit, Virtual reality and 3D laser scanning.

AIA/CES: Session qualifies for 1 AIA/CES LU. Swinerton Builders is the registered provider.

Go-To-Meeting Available! Go-to-meeting is available for our outer island friends and those that simply can't attend in person, but we highly encourage attendance in person as the networking opportunities are invaluable. If interested please choose that option when registering online.

EVENT COST:

$20 AIA Members (includes lunch)
$35 Non-Members (includes lunch)
If vegetarian option is preferred please indicate on the registration form.

Walk-Ins are welcome: $15 at the door, no lunch included.

Registration: You must register by NOON Friday, February 17 to be guaranteed lunch.

Pre-payment Policy: Advanced payment is required for all events. We accept Visa, Mastercard or Check payment. If you select the "Invoice me Later" option please mail AIA Honolulu a check to guarantee your spot. Event payment is due on or before the program date.

Refund and No Show Policy: Full refunds for paid events will be granted up to and including 3 days prior to the event. If you call between 2-0 days, refunds are not available. You may invite someone in your place. Call our office to notify us of any substitutions at 808-628-7243. No-shows on the day of the event are not refunded; substitute attendees are welcome for your pre-paid spot.
