The Hawaii Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (Hawaii ASLA) is proud to celebrate by screening the 2011 documentary "Women in the Dirt: Landscape Architects Shaping Our World" by Carolann Stoney!

Film Title: Women in the Dirt: Landscape Architects Shaping Our World (1hr 13min)

Landscape frames our world: from streets and sidewalks to public parks and private gardens, we live in a built environment. We move through our daily lives without much thought to the people who envisioned and designed much of these spaces. Who are they? And what is the profession of landscape architecture?

Thoughtful and inspirational, this film features how seven award-winning California landscape architects collaborate with clients and the land to create places of function and beauty.

Landscape architects featured are: Cheryl Barton, Andrea Cochran, Isabelle Greene, Mia Lehrer, Lauren Melendrez, Pamela Palmer, and Katherine Spitz.

Cost: FREE!
