AIA National’s Economic Research Team Presents:
Design and Construction Overview and its Implications for Architecture and the Profession
As a benefit to our membership, AIA Honolulu is presenting a webinar session economic forecast.
AIA Honolulu proudly welcomes the AIA National Managing Director of Research and Practice Michele A. Russo, who will be delving into the most recent facts and figures from the latest Architecture Billing Index to describe in detail how key trends in our
economy are likely to shape the tail end of this year and beyond.
Michele will share the latest data compiled by the AIA National economic research team and discuss how key trends in our economy will affect the construction industry in general and architecture professions specifically. Particular attention will be focused
on recent trends identified by the research team, including the regional and building sector indices, how specific real estate sectors are faring, as well as key issues that building and architecture firms will be dealing with in the latter portion
of 2020 and into next year. Other key issues Michele will highlight include labor issues, sustainability and renovating existing buildings, technology, and international opportunities.
The AIA National Research and Practice team has not done
a Hawaii-specific presentation in more than a decade, so we are very excited to welcome Michele and encourage you to share this with your colleagues. If you’re in the AEC community and are looking to interpret economic trends and apply them to your
business decision, this session is not to be missed!
