This year again competing teams, lead by architects and engineers, will showcase their talents by designing giant sculptures made entirely out of canned foods.
Hunger affects thousands in our own community and this year we have the opportunity to totally crank up the volume. The 10th Annual AIA Honolulu Canstruction competition puts a spotlight on our fight to end hunger by featuring a musical genre trademarked by breaking the rules, living without boundaries and freeing minds through groovy tunes. Rockers from the past, present and future embody a free-spirited state of mind, movements of the people, and goodtimes till the sun comes up. Teams within Hawaii’s design and construction industry are encouraged to rally around this year’s theme by using your creative spirit to design and build structures that reflect the mind-blowing, heart pumping, electrifying art of Rock-CAN-Roll.
