Architectural Walking Tour: University of Hawaii at Manoa
As part of the 11th Annual Architecture Month celebration, you are invited to join - by reservation - in a Walking Tour of UH Manoa's campus core, led by AIA Honolulu member-architects, on Saturday, April 8 – a rare opportunity to explore the central campus from a design perspective.
This tour is a specially organized event that will be held by AIA Honolulu on this date only.
University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Overview
Over the course of two hours, walkers will learn about architecturally significant historic and recent buildings and spaces on the flagship University of Hawaii campus – a major island touchstone that we are all familiar with, but that too few of us appreciate as a center of historic architecture, innovative design and thoughtful site planning.
The tour covers a distance of slightly more than one mile, and at certain times we will cross grass areas and walk up stairs. Please let us know if this will be a hardship for anyone in your group and we will do our best to prepare your tour guide with an alternate route.
What to Bring
Comfortable shoes, sunscreen and hats are highly recommended; walkers are encouraged to bring water and snacks to keep their energy up!
Meeting Point - Staggered Tours: UH School of Architecture
Our registration table, and start of our tour, will be by the grassy area in front of the School of Architecture building.
Cost $15.00 per person
