SUMMARY:The pEUI Difference: How Energy Modeling Drives 2030 Commitment Performance in Architecture Practice
DESCRIPTION:The pEUI Difference: How Energy Modeling Drives 2030 Commitment Performance in Architecture Practice	\n	Lunch provided by presenter. Please RSVP for planning purposes.\n\n \n	\n	The AIA 2030 Commitment’s 2024 By the Numbers report delivered encouraging news\, a 56% average pEUI reduction\, the highest in program history alongside a sobering one:\nthe 2024 reporting target was 80%\, and one factor separates leaders from the pack.\n	Modeled projects achieved a 60% reduction while non-modeled projects achieved 50%\, the widest gap since 2019. \nThis session examines the Commitment’s goals and latest data\, then demonstrates through a live\, hands-on example how early phase energy modeling benchmarks project performance and keeps teams focused on passive strategies and active design measures that protect both the climate and the people buildings serve. \nPRESENTER: This event will feature Dr. Tommy Zakrzewski\, Local Allied Member. \nAs Founder and Chief Building Scientist of Zakrzewski Architectural Engineering\, LLC (ZAE)\, Dr. Tommy Zakrzewski focuses on the scientific aspects of building design\, construction and performance. \n\n \n	\n	He is a premier expert in Building Engineering Physics and specializes in detailed\, physics-based simulations of building energy consumption and demand. He provides scientific expertise to design and construction teams to ensure buildings are optimized for performance while working with various stakeholders\, including architects\, engineers\, contractors\, and clients\, to achieve common Environmental\, Social\, and Governance (ESG) goals. \n	In terms of research and development\, he advances research into new building materials\, technologies\, and construction techniques with advanced building energy modeling (BEM) software and tools. \n	WHEN: Tuesday\, August 18\, 12pm-1pm\nWHERE: AIA Honolulu Center for Architecture\nCEU: This session qualifies for 1 AIA/CES LU (HSW)\nCOST: AIA Members and MEPs – Free | Non-Members – $25\n \n \n\n	\n	\n $0.00 – $25.00Price range: $0.00 through $25.00 \n\n\n	\n \n \n \n Ticket Type\n \n Choose an optionAIAMEPsNon-memberClear \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n \n The pEUI Difference featuring Tommy Zakrzewski quantity \n - \n +\nYour browser must support JavaScript in order to purchase ticket(s).\n\n\n\n	\n	\n \n Attendee Information #1\n \n \n \n First Name:\n *\n \n	\n	\n	\n \n	\n	\n\n \n Last Name:\n *\n \n	\n	\n	\n \n	\n	\n\n \n Email:\n *\n \n	\n	\n	\n \n	\n	\n\n \n Firm / Organization:\n *\n \n	\n	\n	\n \n	\n	\n\n \n \n Privacy Preference: \n \n \n Opt-out from being displayed in the public list of attendees. \n \n \n	\n\n\n\n	Buy Ticket Now
