SUMMARY:AIA HSC Executive Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Designing Conversations:\nAIA Hawai‘i Book Club (2 HSWs)\nEach quarter\, we’ll gather around a book tangential to architecture—think design\, culture\, place\, history\, climate\, or the forces that shape the built environment in unexpected ways. The event features a compelling guest speaker who will draw out the book’s big ideas and connect them to practice in Hawaiʻi\, all hosted at a cool\, thoughtfully chosen venue. \nWhether you’ve read every page\, skimmed the introduction\, or are just coming for the conversation\, the AIA Hawaiʻi Book Club is about shared curiosity and expanding how we think about our work and our world. \n\n\n\n	\n\n\n \n	\n	\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n \n	\n	Book Club Q2: At Ma'o Organic Farms May 23!\n\nFor our second Book Club\, we have chosen “What If We Get It Right: Visions of Climate Futures" by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. \nA SMITHSONIAN BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR! Sometimes\, the bravest thing we can do when facing an existential crisis is to imagine life on the other side. SUMMARY:Blueprints for: Project Management
DESCRIPTION:Blueprints for Leadership: A Series of Workshops (2 LUs)	\n\n Empowering Architects at Every Stage of Their Career	\n \n	Blueprints for Leadership is a dynamic series of workshops designed to help architects build essential skills in strategic thinking\, business acumen\, and effective management. Led by top experts in their fields\, each session offers premium instruction and meaningful networking opportunities. \n	Future sessions are still being finalized but may include topics on self-leadership\, leading high-performing teams\, project management\, personal branding\, and more! \nWhether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your leadership toolkit\, these sessions are crafted to support your growth. Attend one or attend them all-each workshop stands alone but together forms a comprehensive professional development experience. \n\n #3 blueprints for project management	\n\n Raising the Bar on Client Relationships: From Technical Expert to Trusted Partner	\n	Most projects don’t fail because of design – they fail because trust breaks down. Technical excellence gets you in the room; trust determines whether you stay there long term. \nIn an environment where clients face increasing pressure\, uncertainty\, and complexity\, technical expertise alone is no longer enough to earn loyalty. The architects who stand out are the ones who go beyond the scope to truly understand their clients’ goals\, concerns\, and business drivers – and deliver in a way that builds lasting trust. Clients rarely leave because of design mistakes; they leave when they don’t feel seen and heard. \n \n	Join Corey Campbell\, Executive Performance Coach and CEO & Founder of Akamai Training & Consulting\, for this interactive session exploring how the most important work of an architect often happens before the first drawing is ever created. Participants will examine their current approach and explore how to raise the bar on client interactions – leading projects as trusted partners\, not just technical experts. \n	Through real-world examples and reflective dialogue\, participants will: \n\nLearn how to go beyond scope and deliverables to understand a client’s true goals\, pressures\, and business drivers.\nExamine methods to uncover what truly matters to clients and help them feel seen\, heard\, and understood.\nExplore how leadership presence and ownership influence client confidence\, loyalty\, and team performance.\nReframe project management as people management – taking ownership of relationships\, communication\, and outcomes.\n\nCome ready to reflect\, engage\, and elevate how you build trust – with clients\, teams\, and yourself as a leader.\n	DATE: Friday\, January 30\nTIME: Workshop: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Pau Hana: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM\nWHERE: Center for Architecture\, 828 Fort Street Mall\, Suite 100\, Honolulu\nCOST: $75 (Includes workshop and Pau Hana networking)\nCEU: This qualifies for 2 AIA/CES LUs.\nPARKING: Click here for parking suggestions \n\n RSVP FOR BLUEPRINTS FOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT	\n \n \n\n	\n	\n $75.00 \n Tickets Available \n\n	\n	\n \n \n Blueprints For Registration 1.30.26 quantity \n - \n +\nYour browser must support JavaScript in order to purchase ticket(s).\n\n\n\n	\n	\n \n Attendee Information #1\n \n \n \n First Name:\n *\n \n	\n \n Last Name:\n *\n \n	\n \n AIA Designation:\n *\n \n	\n AIA\n Assoc.
