SUMMARY:Blueprints for Leadership: Session #6
DESCRIPTION:Blueprints for Leadership: A Series of Workshops (2 LUs)	\n\n Empowering Architects at Every Stage of Their Career	\n\n \n	\n	Blueprints for Leadership is a dynamic series of workshops designed to help architects build essential skills in strategic thinking\, business acumen\, and effective management. Led by top experts in their fields\, each session offers premium instruction and meaningful networking opportunities. \n	Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your leadership toolkit\, these sessions are crafted to support your growth. Attend one or attend them all-each workshop stands alone but together forms a comprehensive professional development experience. \n\n #6 Blueprints for lifecycle performance: Lessons from the Owner’s Side	\n	Architects play a critical role in shaping the built environment\, but the life of a building extends far beyond design and construction. This session explores how facility and owner perspectives can inform stronger leadership and better long-term outcomes in architectural practice. \nThrough insights from professionals responsible for operating and maintaining buildings\, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how early design and project decisions impact performance over time. The session will highlight the importance of feedback\, collaboration\, and accountability across the full lifecycle of a project. \nBy examining successes and challenges from the owner’s side\, participants will learn how to strengthen decision-making\, improve communication with stakeholders\, and lead with a more holistic view of project delivery. This program reinforces that effective leadership in architecture requires not only delivering a successful project\, but also understanding and taking responsibility for its long-term performance. \nThings to be covered during this presentation: \n\nUnderstand how early project decisions influence long-term building performance and outcomes\nRecognize the importance of lifecycle thinking in leadership and decision-making\nDevelop a deeper understanding of owner and facility management perspectives\nApply strategies to improve collaboration\, communication\, and long-term accountability\n\n	Welcome Speakers\n\n \n	\n	Nate Armour\nDirector of Physical Plant\nPunahou\n\n \n	\n	Danielle S.N.
