2025 Canstruction® Awards
20th Annual Canstruction® Competition Results
Theme: “ExtravaCANza"
To celebrate two decades of CANstruction, we asked teams to create an ExtravaCANza! From dazzling parties and glittering galas to show-stopping celebrations, think fireworks, red carpets, and larger-than-life celebrations. Teams were challenged to capture that energy in their CANstructures. Each structure is made entirely of several thousand cans of food, which are donated to the Hawai‘i Foodbank after a week on display at Kahala Mall.
A BIG MAHALO to all our 10 teams of local architects and allied professionals who supported this worthy cause with their time, talent and can purchases! Also, a HUGE THANK YOU to our Canstruction Committee and all who volunteered, voted and donated money to make this event such an amazing success for the people of Hawai'i!
This year, we raised $13,650 and donated 23,241 pounds of canned goods to Hawai'i Foodbank.
Since its inception, AIA Honolulu’s Canstruction® Competition has gathered 787,005 pounds of canned goods – enough food to make 712,826 meals.
