Learn about “cyber hygiene,” or basic methods of protecting your business; current cybersecurity compliance requirements for DoD/federal contractors (NIST 800-171); and future Cybersecurity compliance requirements for DoD/federal contractors (CMMC).

About the presenter:
Michael Cardenas is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of MC3 Technologies, a Hawaii-based systems integration and cybersecurity company. MC3 Technologies is a CMMC Registered Provider Organization (RPO) assisting companies with their NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance. For over 20 years, Michael has worked closely with the federal government and industry partners to develop solutions which deliver modern, secure, and sustainable digital capabilities to DoD, federal civilian, and commercial organizations. Michael is an Air Force veteran with over 22 years of broad IT experience, including IT service management, systems engineering, cybersecurity, software development, DevSecOps, digital transformation, and project management. Michael is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University. He also volunteers as a Cyber Coach with CyberHawaii to provide cybersecurity awareness and training to small and medium-sized businesses in Hawaii.
