KE|AD is a multidisciplinary engineering and architectural consulting firm with offices in Seattle, WA and Honolulu, HI. We specialize in building investigations, condition assessments, forensic engineering, repair consulting, code compliance, construction administration, and selective MEP design services. Our collaborative team of architects, engineers, technical specialists, laboratory technicians, and construction professionals helps clients solve complex building system challenges across multifamily, commercial, insurance, legal, and construction industries.
KE|AD Building Consultants is seeking a Hawaii licensed Project Architect with 8-10 years of experience in commercial, multifamily, and residential projects throughout the Puget Sound region. This position plays a key role in developing well-coordinated, buildable construction documents, navigating permitting processes, coordinating consultants, coordinating in-house engineering, and supporting projects through construction completion. Key Responsibilities
• Lead projects from construction documentation through permitting, bidding, and construction.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive permit and construction document sets.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, and MEP consultants.
• Manage jurisdictional permitting and plan review processes throughout Hawaii State.
• Review zoning requirements, code compliance, and project feasibility.
• Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, site observations, and documentation.
• Prepare Fee Proposals with support from KE|AD’s Seattle office
• Serve as the primary coordination point between clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Communicate with KE|AD’s Washington office
• Maintain accurate project records throughout all phases, including project closeout.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting project schedules and client expectations.
• Ensure construction documents are clear, coordinated, and constructible.
• Work within established AIA contract frameworks and project delivery requirements

• Knowledge of Hawaii State permitting processes and local jurisdictional requirements.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
