- Past Presidents of the AIA are charged with nominating candidates for the Medal of Honor award.
- Review the intent of the award via the video to the right.
- Submit up to 3 candidates for the Medal of Honor and click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
- Deadline is EOD April 4.

We deeply honor the legacy of the Medal of Honor as we bring it into a broader celebration of excellence. It now stands alongside the Gordon Bradley Humanitarian Award and the Paepae I Ka Pōhaku Award as part of the Hawaii Architectural Foundation's (HAF) Huaka‘i Awards. Building on the success of the 2024 gala, we are excited to make the 2026 event just as remarkable.
Therefore, PPAIA are provided the option to also nominate candidates for the Paepae and Bradley awards. More information about both of these awards can be found under the form below.
2025 Medal of Honor Vote
Gordon Bradley Humanitarian Award
This award acknowledges an architect who has given their time to benefit society. Examples include serving on charitable boards, donating time to assist in humanitarian endeavors, providing guidance for individual growth, etc. A candidate would need to be more than just a director or officer or a trade or professional organization, unless their leadership was instrumental in community work over a period of time, or the involvement was in a specific and meaningful project.

Paepae I Ka Pōhaku
This award recognizes an individual or organization that has contributed to, and promoted, the public's appreciation of architectural design and responsible approaches to the built environment. Generally, the award shall be given for sustained effort and not for a single act.
The award recognizes non-architects.
