Join AIA Honolulu’s Emerging Professionals Committee for the next installment of Lineage, a mentorship series connecting emerging professionals with Fellows and seasoned leaders in Hawaiʻi’s architecture community.
This session features Bettina Mehnert, FAIA, LEED AP, President and CEO of AHL, for an intimate and informal conversation about her career, lessons learned along the way, and her journey from young architect to leading one of Hawaiʻi’s largest architecture firms.
About Bettina:
Originally from Germany, Bettina joined AHL in 1988 and rose through the firm to become its first female Principal, Director, COO, and ultimately President and CEO. Her approach to leadership brings together architecture, technology, firm culture, business strategy, and community service. She also helped establish AHL’s 1% pro bono program, dedicating a portion of the firm’s professional services to projects benefiting Hawaiʻi’s community.
Centered around the recurring Lineage theme, “Things I Wish I Knew Earlier in My Career,” the conversation will explore Bettina’s journey while giving emerging professionals an opportunity to ask questions about career growth, leadership, navigating change, firm culture, giving back, and finding their own path within the profession.
Space is intentionally limited to encourage an open and engaging conversation.
