Join us for the inaugural session of AIA Honolulu’s Emerging Professional Mentorship Program – Lineage, a new series designed to connect emerging professionals with respected leaders in Hawaii’s architecture community through candid conversation and shared experiences.
For this session, Dwight Mitsunaga, FAIA, will reflect on lessons learned throughout his career, exploring the theme “Things I Wish I Knew Earlier in My Career.”
In an informal setting, attendees have the opportunity to ask questions on topics such as navigating the first five years of practice, what architecture school doesn’t teach, career transitions, professional growth, and learning from mistakes.
About Dwight:
Dwight’s background in construction, development, and architecture has enabled him to perceive efficient building designs. His projects include the Hotel Street Transit Mall, UH Rainbow Baseball Stadium, Pali Golf Course Clubhouse, Windward Community College Campus Center, Pier 2 Cruise Terminal, Keeau II and Mililani Ike Elementary Schools, and restoration of the Korean Studies Building at UH Manoa.
